John Lowell Johnson, age 92 of Ankeny, IA, died on Jan. 1, 2019 in company of wife Audrey, and children Gloria, Linda, David, Susan, and Elizabeth. Preceded in death by parents Victor and Ruth Johnson, and siblings Vivian, Robert, and Milton. Survived by wife Audrey, sisters Charlotte and June and his five children. Survived also by much loved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. John was born and grew up on a farm in Pilot Grove, MN near East Chain where he met his wife Audrey. He was a graduate of both Gustavus Adolphus College and Luther Seminary in MN. He served as a missionary, a pastor, and a prison chaplain. Serving in Ecuador, Mexico, Illinois, California, Arizona, and Minnesota. A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m on May 25, 2019 at East Chain Lutheran Church in Blue Earth, MN.
