Love Emblem

Doris Feaster, 88, passed away following a brief illness Thursday, October 18, 2018.

Visitation will be 5 -7 pm, Monday, October 22nd at Ankeny Memorial, 4208 North Ankeny Blvd., Ankeny, IA. A funeral service will be 10:30 am, Tuesday, October 23rd at Ankeny First United Methodist Church, 206 SW Walnut, Ankeny, IA.

She was born October 26, 1929 in Philadelphia, MO.

She married Lynn Feaster, December 23, 1951 and quickly took on the role as an Air Force wife, travelling and moving frequently (32 times). They welcomed 2 daughters into the family. Throughout this time, she worked for and retired from Bell Telephone Co. Lynn's last Air Force assignment was in the Des Moines area and they continued to live in the area with a 10.5 year hiatus in Bella Vista, AR.

She enjoyed golfing, bowling, playing cards and travelling through all 50 states and Europe. She enjoyed frequent visits to NE Missouri to see family and friends. She enjoyed spending time, especially holidays, with her daughters and their families- and spoiling her grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Lynn; children Cathy (Rich) Brent and Dawn (Russell) Slauson; sister Sarah Baxter and brothers Jim, John and Carroll Ragar; 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
