Love Emblem

Wilma F. Storey, 85, of Ankeny, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother left this earth to go home to be with the Lord, January 11, 2020. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 16, 2020 at First Church of Christ (310 NW Ash Dr. Ankeny, IA). A visitation will be held one hour prior to service.
Wilma was born in Culver, Indiana attended Culver Community Schools, and was a graduate of Culver High School. After graduating high school, Wilma moved to Des Moines where she worked as a secretary at Firestone Tire plant. During her working years she also was a school cook and server in the Ankeny Community School district. She also worked as a receptionist for H&R Block.
She had been an active member at First Church of Christ in Ankeny and served many years as a Vacation Bible School director.
Wilma is survived by her daughter; Cheryl Hopper; grandchildren, Natalie and Austin Storey, Melissa (Kevin) Chew, and Sheila Hopper, great-grandchildren; Kaylee and Konner Chew, Eve Ziehe, Addison and Maddison Lasley; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Drisco Kreighbaum and Margie (Harris) Kreighbaum; husband, Leslie Storey; son, Jeffery Storey; and sister, Nila Foust.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Central Iowa Bible Camp.
