Marilyn Lande, 69, of Ankeny passed away September 27, 2016.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday Sept. 30, 2016 at Memorial Services of Iowa (4208 N Ankeny Blvd). A visitation will be held 12 – 2:00 p.m., prior to the service.
Marilyn was born December 13, 1940 in Ames, Iowa, and she graduated from Ballard High School in 1965. She married Steve Lande in May of 1966, and they made their home in Huxley until 1972, when they moved to Alleman where they raised their 2 children, Jeff and Kari. They lived there for 42 years until moving to Ankeny in 2013.
She worked as a secretary for Principal Financial as a secretary for 15 years.
Her hobby was her family—she also enjoyed boating, fishing, traveling, and Prairie Meadows.
Marilyn is survived by her husband of 50 years, Steven; 2 children, Jeff (Crystal) Lande, and Kari (Steve) Rhiner; 3 beloved grandchildren, Joyce Brafford, Jack Lande, and Jake Rhiner; sisters, Bobbi (Steve) Liker and Leah Drummond; a brother Gary Meldrem; a special "Grand-dog" Grayson, and many nieces and nephews.
