John "Jack" T. Dyer, 81, of Ankeny passed away January 7, 2018 at Taylor House Hospice.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m., Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Our Lady's Immaculate Heart Church. A visitation will be held 5 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 10th at Memorial Services of Iowa funeral home (4208 N Ankeny Blvd)
Jack was born August 26. 1936 to Frank "Bud" and Agnes Dyer, and grew up in Elkhart where he graduated from High School. He then served with the US Army.
He retired from the Alleman Coop after 30 years of service.
Jack was an avid sports fan; Particularly Jeff Gordon, the Chicago Cubs, Dallas Cowboys, Cyclones and Hawkeyes. He also collected John Deere toy farm machinery.
He never knew a stranger.
Jack is survived by his wife Teresa; 4 brothers, Dick (Veda), Pat (Sandy), Tom (Korky), and Mike; a sister, Irene Moon-Toncar; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
