Jessica Elizabeth Stout, 24, of Ankeny passed away unexpectedly on October 4, 2017.
A visitation will be held 4 – 6:00 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 8th at Memorial Services of Iowa Funeral Home (4208 N. Ankeny Blvd.).
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 9, 2017 at St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church (1102 N.W. Weigel Drive, Ankeny).
Jessie was born in Des Moines on April 10, 1993. She grew up in Ankeny, and graduated from Ankeny High School in 2012. She was enrolled at Iowa State University, studying Hospitality Management.
She was a high school and college competitive swimmer, and competed in triathlons. She was a movie enthusiast and a talented make-up artist.
Jessie is survived by her parents, Larry and Michelle Stout; her siblings, Ben of Hemet, CA, Katie (Zach) James of Sully, IA, and twin brother Nick of Ankeny; niece and nephew Trent and Kaci James; grandmother, Patricia Ruba; uncle, Scott (Sarah) Ruba, and cousins, Emily and Andrew Ruba.
She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Carl and Wandalene Stout, and maternal grandfather, Gerald Ruba; an aunt Kristen Ruba, and great-uncle Mark Ruba.
Memorials may be made to Orchard Place or the Animal Rescue League of Iowa.
