Dennis Lee Engelhart, 76, died October 13, 2016.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Resurrection Lutheran Church (914 NW Ash). A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service.

Dennis was born February 21, 1940, to Mason Lee Engelhart and Beatrice Elizabeth (Hinman) Engelhart in Marshall County, Britton, South Dakota. He died October 13th, 2016. He attended school in Kidder, SD and graduated high school in Grand Forks, ND. He also attended Northern State College in Aberdeen, SD. Dennis was an Air Force Vietnam war veteran.

Dennis worked many years in the agriculture fertilizer industry, associated with PPG. When they moved to Ankeny, IA, his wife Beverly established an alterations business, The Finishing Touch. Beverly died August 11, 2011.

In 1966 he married Beverly Joan Ruth Clark, the love of his life. His passing leaves four children, six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Survivors include his son Chris (Debbie) Engelhart of California, Scott (Patty) Clark of Crawfordsville, IA. Kathi (Bill) Fox of Davenport, IA, Russ (Hyon) Clark of Lenexa, KS; his grandchildren Cameron Engelhart, Brad Fox, Alison (Mike) Quinn, Haley Fox, Laura Clark, and Sam Clark; and two great- grandchildren Aiden and Madeline Quinn; his sisters and brothers-in-law Joan (Neill) Hardina and Janice (Mark) Maloney.
