Dear Mary Jo. Memories flood my mind when I learn of our loss of Cookie! The close friendship of our parents, the many joys and concerns expressed between such close neighbors. My brother, Jon, was a classmate of Cookie and sends his sympathy to you. He now lives near Nashville, TN....My sister, Karen, passed away 5 years ago, but was a neighbor of Cookie in the apartment complex where they both lived. My sincere thoughts and prayers are for you and your families as you honor Cookie todayi!

Life is but a vapor
We have so little time
Some live through their "golden" years
Some are taken in their prime.
But I so remember "Cookie"
A close cousin years ago
She had this certain giggle
To cheer you when feeling low.
Life and distance took its toll
We seldom stayed in touch
But our memories still linger
They mean so very much!
I am your cousin Bobby
My heart grieves because you're gone
But this life does end in victory
Says the fourteenth chapter of John.

May God bless you too, Mary Jo!

Mary Jo and Bob, I am so sorry for your loss, but mine too. Cookie and I shared a 56 year friendship, which started as co-workers at the
US Civil Service commission in 1964.Our + 34 year careers in HR were on parallel paths for many years, sometimes as coworkers and sometimes working in Sister Agencies we were always connected in work and as friends. Cookie's witty sense of humor made work fun as well as many interesting situations. We supported each other in many life events, and I'm so glad I knew you. I will miss you terribly my soul sister!! God's speed, Cookie!
