Where do I begin, my heart is broken, I did not get to say good bye to Uncle Larry. He was the best, so funny and just a great guy. I feel very lucky to have had him in my life. My heart goes out to My Aunt Jan and my cousins, I am so very sorry. My love and prayers are with you all.

Larry was a big part of my life as I grew up at Lake Rathbun. He always stood at the ready to help out any boater with any kind of a problem, and he had enthusiasm and energy to spare. My dad and I will miss him greatly.

Dear Janice & family,
My thoughts are selfish, my heart is broken, but my prayers for you are abundant as you learn how to live life without him.
In the late 80's we were blessed to become a part of North Dock at Lake Rathbun. I had some of the best times in my life when my dad became the new owner of a sailboat. As friendships grew on North Dock, I became the chosen one to be Scotty's racing crew. I was blessed to have that time with him. He taught me many things on the lake & not just how to sail. He taught me strong life lessons and how to make the most of what you are given. While racing, finding the best wind and trimming the sails accordingly. He knew the lake and always seemed to know how the winds would blow.
A few years later my dad had a major heart event. Scotty was my lifeline. He let me call at any time & gave me positive thoughts when things were difficult. He and Janice continued to be there for me as devoted friends are when life happens. He knew exactly what to say and how to say it. He knew how to comfort and care for his friends and family. He knew how to be a friend in the most genuine form of the word.
Scotty was one of the best story tellers I have ever known; it helps to have a wealth of stories to tell. My dad gave him many to repeat and I cherished hearing each one.
Dad would say, That Larry Scott, what fine young gentleman. In every aspect, YES he was.
My memories throughout our friendship will forever be cherished, until we meet again.
Loving thoughts, hugs and prayers to each of you,

I'm so sorry to hear of Larry's passing, he was a super friend and loved by so many. I'm also sorry for the pain he had to endure during his bough with his illness but know it was necessary to keep trying. My thoughts and prayers will be with you all at this time of need. His memories will forever be with us all that knew him and enjoyed him. Love and hugs to all of you!
