Condolence & Memory Journal

I knew Candy from the Fair as she volunteered for 20+ years. I'm the Information Volunteer Superintendent at the Iowa State Fair. She loved the fair and studied every piece of information to ensure she directed fair-goers to the correct place to ensure they would have a great time at the fair.

Candy was a very strong-willed individual, but one think I appreciated is you always knew where you stood with her. She had such a passion for the fair she even brought her daughter on board to volunteer as well.

I and the Fair staff thank her for her commitment to our program and the Iowa State Fair. Our sympathy's to the family! Blessings!

I worked with Candy at Bank of America. Her work ethic was amazing. I loved her sense of humor and the special way she looked at life. I admired her strength and compassion. Life handed her a bushel of challenges and she met them head on without hesitation. She was an amazing lady. I am so very sorry for your loss.

She was a tough lady and dealt with life head on. There are lots of memories with her, but the one I'll cherish is her saying "It's always Marna" - even in her worst hour, she had a sense of humor!!!

So sorry for your loss. I saw it in the DMR and was puzzled but yet I was not. I did not know Candy as a friend but she and her family had a connection with me. I was at the Easton Home and worked with those that lived there. Yes she knew what and how she wanted things and she did not hold back to let you know it. I supported her and the family wishes very much. Again so sorry for your loss.
