To all his special friends,
I first met Tracy in 1987 on my first deployment while just beginning to figure things out as a new F-14 technician. Little did I know it would be a time and challenged tested career we would share. Literally impossible to encapsulate ALL we shared and experienced. Sooo many great times, great laughs, insurmountable human demands put before us. And yet, one thing was certain, when it involved Tracy, there was NO quitting. I would never became the sailor I wanted to become without his words of deep belief in integrity, pride, loyalty and professionalism. This he learned from his wonderful parents whom I had the pleasure of meeting on more than one occasion. The Navy was that much much better with him serving. We, as his friends, were that much better people because of him. I shall miss him beyond words. Rest In Peace, Trace. My Shipmate, My Friend.

Mother Pat,
I am just now receiving this tragic news. I'm bawling my eyes out in disbelief and hurt so bad. While grieving for you I am totally shattered for my own part! Tracy was so much more than a friend. I would never have learned the meaning of integrity, loyalty, and professionalism if wasn't for him. I could never, ever equalled these qualities if I lived to be a million! I am so proud to have been his friend and felt special attachment to you and all your family. He made that possible. I will miss him sooo very much.

Tracy and I crossed paths in the Navy at VF-2 at NAS Oceana, Virginia Beach, VA in 1997. He was always respected by all as a consummate professional, both as a technician and as a leader. He had a big and positive influence on those that he lead and those that he served with. He always left a big pair of shoes to fill when he transferred to another activity.

He LOVED his Mustang!!!! :) And he loved going 'back home' to the Connie and San Diego when we deployed. Juan Bertos deep fried carne asada always dominated the menu on our returns!!

I'm saddened to learn of his loss, and all my thoughts and prayers are for his family in this, their time of need.

Tracy will be missed. We texted each other at least once a month just to catch up after he left RACOM. We had tried so hard to get time to go for a motorcycle ride and we just couldn't line it up. Sad that I will never get to go for that ride with my friend.... Miss our conversations buddy. Gods Speed to you!!!

I have so many fond memories of Tracy. I was sickened when I read of his passing. A life cut tragically short. My deepest condolences to his entire family. May you keep his memory dear to your hearts.

Always had a smile on his face. Sometimes a hint of a mischievous type smile. His girls were always laughing and giggling with other workers in the school bus break room. He was an outspoken person who was a quick learner who moved into a driver trainer position. He and I shared Navy stories, besides some of the challenges of driving a school bus. It is sad that we did not have more time to talk about a lot of subjects. He will be missed.
