Condolence & Memory Journal

We have know Phyllis for years. She was a regular at our restaurant. We immediately realized we shared the same faith in Jesus. Years later, we ended up worshipping at, and belonging to the same church. Also, spending Winter months in Texas. We just saw her two weeks ago and said I love you. While yet sad that she is gone I know she loved Jesus and is in Heaven. You will be missed dear friend.

Losing and old friend once again gets no easier. Thank you, Alicia for contacting me even though it was to share such sad news. Loved your mom and consider her my oldest but most wonderful friend. We had some good times and I will treasure those memories always. We laughed a lot and we cried together when Jack was killed and when she lost her youngest son, Mike. I like to think both were there to welcome her home. My heart breaks for you and all that knew and loved her. Miss you ,my friend, see you again one day.

I knew her well. We lived next door to each other and always enjoyed early morning talks with coffee at the end of the driveway. She was a very nice lady and will be missed.

We had the privilege of meeting Phyllis only a few years ago, but immediately fell in love with this beautiful lady. What a thrill it was to discover that we found a long lost sister in law! Even though we got together only a handful of times, we felt we've known Phyllis for decades. Her passing will leave a huge hole in our hearts. Prayers to her lovely children & their families in the days ahead. God bless you all.

I worked for Phyllis back in the mid-'80's I think when she was in the Driver Trip reports section at Ruan Transportation (not sure of the department name now). It always amazed me how a driver went from Nebraska to Illinois and have no miles in Minnesota, Missouri or Iowa to get into Illinois.

Then I joined the Ruan A/P team in 2001 and worked closely with her there. She became a beloved friend and co-worker. We had many laughs in the lunch room during break, having our "popcorn break" parties.

God bless you, Phyllis May Zeimet. RIP. You will be missed. I wish I had kept in touch a bit more, but isn't that always the case? You were a fine, young lady.

Phyllis was a great friend who will be greatly missed at the Ankeny Senior Center. I will miss all our talks at the Senior Center and will miss one of my new found friends.
